Kelley Nan Shares Her Hope’s Cleaning Routine

Get tips for a quick clean from the hope decorating blogging superstar (and Hope’s fanatic)

We love to think that our products are perfect for almost everyone and every type of surface, but we admit we may be a bit biased in this observation. We’ll also admit that believing our claims is a bit like taking advice from your parents: it may seem right but it’s nice to hear it from someone else. With this in mind, we asked Hope’s fanatic and social superstar Kelley Nan to share her full prep and cleaning routine when company is on their way.

We encourage you to read Kelley’s full blog, as it is filled with useful tips, advice, and gorgeous photographs.

Here are three key highlights:

Create Some Ambiance

Cleaning may be a chore but it doesn’t have to be! To begin her cleaning, Kelley always cranks up the tunes. Upbeat music is a great way to occupy your mind and keep your energy levels high. Kelley also suggests lighting some candles. “Next, I always light a candle–it immediately makes things smell cleaner, like I’ve already made an effort, haha.”

Your favorite tunes with your favorite candle; sounds like a great start to us.

Clean from Top to Bottom

Kelley suggests cleaning your highest surfaces first and then moving downward. During cleaning, it’s easy for crumbs and dust to fall from countertops to floors, so this is a way to avoid having to re-clean floors and lower surfaces. When cleaning the kitchen, try starting with your countertops before moving to the sink. Once the above surfaces are clean, the floors are a breeze. To complete these chores, try Perfect Granite, Perfect Countertop, and Perfect Sink. Each, with its own innovative formula, will help you achieve a cleaner clean in less time and with less effort.

Remember Your Appliances

Stainless steel appliances match form and function, which means maintaining their appearance. Be sure these surfaces are as clean as the rest of your kitchen or the blemishes will stand out even further. Perfect Stainless is the easy way to help your stainless surfaces shine as much as the rest of your kitchen. Kelley’s blog is chock full of must-read tips and advice. Be sure to check it out.
